I coach many 1-on-1’s – this is usually via a private warm up yoga session and check-in, within the well-equipped yoga studios of the climbing gyms I work in. Then a look at what climbing can be done within the climbing gyms. All sessions will be custom fit to your specifications, once we have gone over weaknesses and strengths, previous injuries and relative experience.

Do Note
Yoga, strength, flexibility and mobility-work and/or climbing can be focused on individually and hence done separately but the synergism one feels and sees in these practices, gives benefits far greater than the sum of the various practices parts. These 1-on-1 sessions can all be done outside in nature as well, once ones’ wants, needs, experience and objectives within our time together are discussed.

What ages benefit from coaching?
I currently coach some young very smart kids. As an intro climbing coach. I really enjoy introducing youth to the amazing skills of their body, as well as exploring and untapping the multiform strength they have physically and mentally to take on the high-intensity tasks the rock climbing demands.
My Coaching Experiences
I am the Dream Higher Yoga Teacher. I really enjoy teaching my Dream Higher kids and teens Yoga, and offering them not only important pre-stretch, warm up and down stretch exercises but breathing exercises that they can take into their everyday life and stress coping mechanisms that the brilliant team of Dream Higher helps to offer and support them with an ever-growing supportive healthy space.

This is one of my most loved and enjoyed outreach projects, as Dream Higher offers the often privileged spaces of climbing gyms and outdoor climbing to these wonderful kids and teens coming from safe-houses situated around Cape Town.
